It should come as no surprise that Austin boasts its own chapter of the Collective of Lady Arm Wrestlers (known locally as CLAWstin). They are hosting a no-holds-barred Over the Top-esque charitable throwdown featuring brawny beauties arm wrasslin' in costume, all to benefit the charity 1house at a time. Erin Rock-a-Bitch, Rubycon Flict, and Schauf-Shank Redeemer (to name but a few of the eight scheduled competitors) will enter with much pageantry to their own theme music, supported by their entourages and cheerleaders. Thu., Oct. 13, 9pm (doors at 8pm). Bar 96, 96 Rainey. $5, all proceeds go to charity. www.clawusa.org.
