Series Finale Night

It happened organically, a few years ago: I decided to rewatch the series finale of Breaking Bad. It was fantastic, so I decided to revisit the Lost finale, to see how it had aged (not so well), or if I'd missed anything (I hadn't). But there was something so satisfying about watching these shows wrap up, that I just kept going. I've done it several times since, with other shows. It is goddamn delightful. Below are simple instructions and some nuggets from the prototype playlist.

Instructions: Pick no less than three, and no more than four series finales. Settle on the proper play order: Do you want to end with a laugh, or a cry, or some inspiration? Special equipment: snacks, drinks, maybe laundry to fold (life goes on). Do NOT theme food or drinks to the shows: This is already in overkill territory.

Breaking Bad, "Felina"

Walter: Do it. You want this.
Jesse: Say the words! Say YOU want this! Nothing happens until I hear you say it.
Walter: I want this.
Jesse: Then do it yourself.

Lost, "The End"

Sawyer: It doesn't sound like Jacob said anything about anything.
Hurley: That's kinda true, dude, he's worse than Yoda.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer, "Chosen"

Andrew: She was incredible. She died saving my life.
Xander: That's my girl. Always doing the stupid thing.

Angel, "Not Fade Away"

Illyria: Wesley's dead. I'm feeling grief for him. I can't seem to control it. I wish to do more violence.
