Mondo stages a zombie apocalypse at Highland Mall

On Saturday, 700 ticketholders to the Mondo Mystery Movie event were still in the dark about the evening's entertainment when they boarded buses for Highland Mall. Waiting to greet them were a couple hundred zombies (including the Chronicle's Marc Savlov, pictured), as well as George Romero and a print of his 1978 classic Dawn of the Dead. See the Picture in Picture blog for video, photos, and a recap of the event.
