"Ain't it a great day to be dead in Austin, Texas?" asked a tie-dyed Mayor Will Wynn of the zombie throng at Sunday's Thrill the World event at the Long Center. Ten nations and 72 cities participated in the annual synchronized dance performance of Michael Jackson's classic "Thriller," but nobody brought it like Austin did, pulverizing the previous world record with 881 zombies strong (Gurnee, Ill., was Austin's closest competitor at 334). For photos and video from Sunday's event, see www.thrilltheworldaustin.com. But don't stop 'til you get enough: You can also watch Austin's undead thrill the world all over again at the Día de los Muertos procession on Saturday, Nov. 1 (www.mexic-artemuseum.org).
