So you wanna be a VIP? Itchin' for some insider info? Nintendo Cube Club -- a roving game-geek paradise currently wrapping up a national tour -- will continue its brief stay in Austin through the weekend. Cube-clubbers will get the chance to preview more than 25 Nintendo GameCube and Game Boy Advance titles, including James Bond 007: NightFire, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, and Super Monkey Ball 2. Admission is free, the dress code nonexistent, and local DJs on hand will no doubt drown out the bleeps and squeaks from all the video games.
Nintendo Cube Club operates Thursday, Dec. 19 through Saturday, Dec. 21. Hours on Thursday and Friday are 6pm-midnight, open to all ages. Saturday, the club is open for all ages from noon-5pm. No one under 21 will be admitted Saturday night from 8pm-2am. Cube Club Austin is located at Great Hills Market (9828 Great Hills Trail #300). Admission is free, but patrons are encouraged to bring canned food to benefit Second Harvest. For more information, visit www.nintendocubeclub.com.
