Community residents, leaders, and organizations gathered at the Capitol of Texas to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Monday’s participants began their march at the University of Texas campus and stopped on the south steps of the state Capitol for music, remarks from community leaders and city officials, and to hear a recording of Dr. King himself. A community festival at Huston-Tillotson University concluded the day’s celebration.
