For over 30 years I have photographed protests at the Texas State Capitol but none matched the surreal scene of mass delusion that took place there on January 6. Hundreds of Trump supporters completely convinced he had won the election gathered to protest the presidential certification of Joe Biden. This group lined 11th St. while others held prayer circles and several small rallies on the grounds. Meanwhile protesters in Washington D.C. stormed the U.S. Capitol building.
