Occupy Austin participant James Peterson dresses as Santa Claus and hands out chalk to children after an event at the Texas Capitol. Peterson wrote with chalk himself and encouraged the children to consider writing Christmas wishes such as "joy", "love" and "hope" with chalk. As Peterson and others with Occupy Austin were leaving, DPS troopers arrested him along with Corey Williams who also used chalk. Both were charged with criminal mischief.
