• Declaring, "Johnston High School is embarking on a new vision that requires another long-term commitment," JHS principal Celina Estrada-Thomas announced her resignation Tuesday after three years, while the school awaited word on state-mandated test scores that could determine its future.

• City Council meets today (Thursday) on topics including the formal unveiling of five proposals for redevelopment of the Green Water Treatment Plant site. See "Beside the Point," and "Happenings."

• Sen. Hillary Clinton won the Kentucky Democratic primary, and Sen. Barack Obama followed with a win in Oregon. Obama is within 100 delegates of the 2,026 needed to win the presidential nomination – next up, Puerto Rico (June 1), followed on June 3 by Montana and South Dakota.
