Working for Affordability

There are several nonprofit groups working on affordable housing in Austin, sometimes overlapping and working in tandem. Yet most (not without reason) are dedicated to assisting the poorest families, the formerly homeless, and those of extremely limited means. Below is a sampling of those groups. There is much less focus on renters living above the official poverty line but below median incomes, yet their predicament has an inevitable domino effect throughout city housing.
