Devin the Dude
Landing Gear (Razor & Tie)"Well, hello again my weed-smoking friends," begins Devin the Dude's fifth LP. It's always 4:20 as long as you've got your Landing Gear, and the Houstonian's Snoop-puffed flow (teamed with the Doggfather himself on "I Don't Chase 'Em") is the perfect accompaniment to any afternoon delight. Lead track "In My Draws" is sure to draw giggles from those with their "eyes red as shit," but it's Dev fumbling his way through Spanish on "El Grande Nalgas" that lifts you to cloud nine. Just remember to puff-puff-pass. Those slinky, drip-dropping beats and lyrical offerings trapped in a triumvirate of weed, women, and – somehow equally – coffee will leave nonindulgers thinking LG's a bit repetitive. In Devin's weed jar, the supply's always "rather stocky," but if buds are songs, this Dude's stash grows as one of the same strain.
