• Saturday ACL headliners the White Stripes have canceled their performances this weekend, along with Dublin-based instrumentalists Rodrigo y Gabriela, who, like UK diva Amy Winehouse, have axed their North American tour due to exhaustion. Common replaces Rodrigo y Gabriela on Sunday, while local phenomenon Ghostland Observatory, booked for two other festivals this weekend, fills in for Jack and Meg at Stubb's on Sunday night with Cold War Kids. GLO promises to light up the sky at Zilker. "We're basically playing for free," confides beat maestro Thomas Turner. "We're spending our whole performance budget on the production.
