The Service Industry
Ranch Is the New French (Buildgut)
The Service Industry's Ranch Is the New French could've been the soundtrack to Waiting. All of the familiar mop-bucket blues are here: "Front of House/Back of House" duties, the mind-numbing routine of "Featherduster," and "The Drudge." This local all-star crew (Hunter Darby, Mike McCoy, etc.) spits in your food, doesn't wash, and takes smoke breaks every 15 minutes, but also serves up decent indie rock, like the Pixiesish "Not in My Section" and "My Job Is Gay."
