My Weapon (King Fing'r/HairBall8)

Like a catfight between the Runaways and the Donnas, or Be Your Own Pet's Jemina Pearl fronting the Cramps, ATX's Applicators produce infectious power pop that's both tough as nails and pretty in pink. Judging from this kicking-and-screaming punk rock, these ladies aren't afraid to bite or claw their way to the top. My Weapon, following up to their Greg Hetson-produced debut What's Your Excuse, is a demanding declaration of girl power. **.5
