Combining craft cocktails with the come-as-you-are Eastside spirit, Dozen Street has assimilated into the historic 12th & Chicon corner since opening in 2014 within walls previously occupied by Club 1808. A guitar-shaped stage comes to life five nights a week with bands, drunken piano soloists, and the occasional one-woman-play by owner/performance artist Maydee Distefano. Dozen Street’s calendar hinges on residencies, including Wednesday’s Butter N Jam vibe night where talented neighborhood musicians engineer free-form punk, hip-hop, and soul in the small, dimly lit lounge covered in artful mirror mosaics.
