Chocolatier Maggie Louise Callahan was the first tenant to open in the Corazon building in January of this year, realizing her dream of having a storefront where she could welcome customers. Her well-established online business already boasted a devoted clientele, and the move up to brick-and-mortar allowed her to design her own climate-controlled chocolate kitchen and an elegant salon to showcase her exquisite custom-made creations. At first blush, the chandelier, gilt-edged furnishings, and glass-encased counter table will create the impression you've stepped into an impossibly chic jewelry emporium by mistake. Never fear, the jewels here are all eminently edible, in eye-popping shapes and colors and mouthwatering flavors inspired by Callahan's favorite candies – chocolate and peanut butter, salted almond caramel, caramel and chocolate nougat – you get the picture. All this delectable beauty doesn't come cheap – but a purchase here is worth the indulgence.
