• The Austin Farmers' Market (www.austinfarmersmarket.org) commemorates its move to Republic Square Park (422 Guadalupe) with a Market in the Park relaunch party. Festivities include live music, cooking demos, food tastings, games, and plenty of family fun. Saturday, Jan. 23, 9am-1pm.

• Enjoy a winter wine mixer and the chance to help choose a new wine for the list at Hill Country Pasta House (3519 FM 620 N., 266-9445, www.hillcountrypasta.com) with food and wine pairings and live music from the Lucky Strikes. $30 per person. Saturday, Jan. 23, 5pm.

Farm to Table invites you to experience a fascinating array of local art, music, food, beer, wine, and spirits at a happy hour benefiting the HOPE Farmers Market (414 Waller). $10 donation suggested. Thursday, Jan. 28, 6-9pm.

Travis Poling will sign copies of Beer Across Texas: A Guide to the Brews and Brewmasters of the Lone Star State (Maverick Publishing, $12.95), and the folks from St. Arnold will serve beer samples at BookPeople (603 N.
