• The Wine & Food Foundation of Texas presents what looks to be a spectacular wine dinner to benefit the fifth annual TexSom Texas Sommelier Conference at Mirabelle (8127 Mesa, 346-7900): Five courses paired with five mature wines presented by sommeliers Mark Sayre, Devon Broglie, and Craig Collins and chefs Happy Abdelbaki, Josh Watkins, Alma Alcocer-Thomas, Jonathan Gelman, Michael Vilim and Pablo Sanchez. $95; $85 for foundation members. • Hosteria Verde supper club chef John Cain will create a late spring dinner to be served in the garden at the American Botanical Coun­cil (6200 Manor Rd., www.herbalgram.org). $65, BYOB. • Olivia (2043 S. Lamar, 804-2700, www.olivia-austin.com) chef/owner James Holmes will prepare a five-course Brewer's Dinner paired with craft brews from Real Ale Brewing Company of Blanco, using each of the selected brews in his dishes, as well. $50 per person; reservations are necessary.
