• Opal Divine's Penn Field (3601 S. Congress, 707-0237, www.opaldivines.com) will feature 45-50 of the finest Scottish malt whiskeys at its Whisky Festival this evening. The event will include discussions by whiskey experts and an appetizer buffet. Tickets are $45. Thursday, Dec. 4, 7-10pm.
• Eddie V's (301 E. Fifth, 472-1860; 9400-B Arboretum Blvd., 342-2642) and the Roaring Fork (701 Congress, 583-0000) are getting in the spirit of the holiday season with spiffy new drink menus offering the 12 Cocktails of Christmas, available for $11 each, now through Dec. 31.
