Experience the excitement of grape harvest season at Texas Hills Vineyard (830/868-2321, www.texashillsvineyard.com), and buy a T-shirt with your own grape-stained footprint to commemorate the day. Harvest Wine Trail events include free grape-stomping and wine-tasting. Saturdays, Aug. 16 & 23, 10am-5pm; Sundays, Aug. 17 & 24, noon-4pm.

Best of 7 Austin is a two-day dining event sponsored by seven local restaurants to raise money for the Lance Armstrong Foun­dation. Each participating restaurant will donate a portion of its proceeds to the foundation's programs: Roux (214 E. Sixth, 479-0474), Starlite (407 Colorado, 374-9012), Lamberts (401 W. Second, 494-1500), Taverna (258 W. Second, 477-1001), the Woodland (1716 S. Congress, 441-6800), Bikini's Sports Bar & Grill (6901 N. I-35, 454-2247), and El Arroyo (1624 W. Field of Dreams is a "grand slam wine and food tasting" that includes a fabulous silent auction chock-full of sports memorabilia, rare and fine wines, jewelry, vacation packages, and other unique items. The event benefits the Miracle League, the Nolan Ryan Foundation, and the Wine & Food Foundation of Texas and will be held in the United Heritage Center at the Dell Diamond in Round Rock. Central Texas chefs will dazzle the crowd with a selection of sweet and savory dishes, and local celebrities will participate in a Clash of the Titans cook-off featuring Nolan Ryan's Beef and Earl Campbell's Sausage. Tickets are $35 for foundation members and $45 for the public; $100 tickets include a poster autographed by sports legends Ryan and Campbell. Reservations are encouraged.
