Due to the impending demolition of the Intel shell, the Austin Farmers' Market (www.austinfarmersmarket.org) is relocating from its home at Fourth and Guadalupe to a scenic spot on the south side of Cesar Chavez between Lavaca and Colorado, overlooking Town Lake. The number of farmers and vendors at the temporary location will remain the same, with free parking available at City Hall; 9am-1pm, Saturday, Nov. 25 (through March 2007).

Get the jump on upscale holiday shopping at the silent auction portion of the annual Big Reds and Bubbles Tasting of fine red wines, champagnes, and delectable local cuisine. The event takes place at the Driskill Hotel (Sixth & Brazos), and proceeds benefit the educational programs of the Wine & Food Foundation of Texas. Tickets are $50 for foundation members, $75 for nonmembers, and a bargain either way, considering the quality of the wines and food. Make necessary reservations at www.winefoodfoundation.org or by calling 327-7555; 6:30-9:30pm, Wednesday, Nov. 29.

Doña Emilia's South American Bar & Grill (101 San Jacinto, 478-2520) hosts a seven-course Mediterranean dinner paired with Spanish and Italian wines to benefit Operation Comfort (www.operationcomfort.org), a group that provides support to wounded service members convalescing at Brook Army Medical Hospital. Tickets are $69 and can be purchased online at www.donaemilias.com/events/winedinner.html; 7pm, Thursday, Nov. 30.
