Doughnut lovers in Round Rock can now experience the pleasure of a warm, freshly glazed original, at Krispy Kreme's third Austin-area location, open since January. To the delight of its many fanatics, Krispy Kreme moved to town two years ago and quickly became a major player in the Austin doughnut scene. Founded in 1937 in Winston-Salem, N.C., the franchise is famous all over the country for two things: its secret-recipe, yeast-risen doughnuts and the glowing red "Hot Doughnuts Now" signs. Hint: They make hot doughnuts from 5:30am till noon and again from 5:30pm till closing time.
