Regarding Redistricting

RECEIVED Mon., March 14, 2022

Dear Editor,
Regarding the redistricting and having all city councilpersons re-elected just goes to show how Texas acts and reacts without thinking the whole process through. The ICRC committee(s?) obviously did not think this through and now we are facing another costly election. Was it really necessary to change the districts' boundaries? If so, why didn't they have all-city re-election in January with Chito's election?
This is stupid and costly and will probably not change anything or anyone. Unless certain people interfere as they have done with all Texas elections in the past.

Congrats on Crimson

RECEIVED Thu., March 10, 2022

Dear Editor,
Thanks for the great Joe Gross piece on King Crimson! ["SXSW Doc Recounts the 50 Year Reign of King Crimson," SXSW, March 11] Sat then and the Austin Music Hall in 95. And hello to any long standing folks at the Chronicle, I worked on your phones (and SXSW) from the mid 90s to 2011, when I moved to Chicago.
Cheers! David
