Supplying the Gas

Dear Editor,
I’m all for bashing evil, money-grubbing, greenhouse gas-spewing fossil fuel companies. However, I do think such attacks should have an element of logic. Rep. Gina Hinojosa (Feb. 18, p. 12) ["The Texas Grid: A Tale of Profits Over People"] criticizes Energy Transfer for having made money during Winter Storm Uri. If the company got paid, they must have been supplying gas during the storm. They didn’t set the price. The guilty parties are those who failed to supply gas during the storm because they skimped on weatherization, thinking that was the way to maximize their profits.
