Dear Editor,
Michael King's column of Jan. 6 ["Point Austin: The Age of Trump," News] began with the negative that Washington, D.C., is heading backward with the election of Donald Trump. Now I know the AC won't print this letter because of its liberal slant, but imagine if you will a football game (U.S. Citizens) hires a proven quarterback (Trump) from another team and half of the football team and fans are talking shit about him before he takes a snap! But he has a winning track record (Trump's great businesses) but he still gets shit BEFORE the game begins! We gave Obama TWO chances (two terms) to win the game and stop blaming the old quarterback (Bush Jr.) for getting us behind in the game. Now we need to give Trump a chance until he fumbles the ball. He cannot do worse than Obama with $10 trillion (interceptions) added on the deficit (4th quarter). I bought my ticket (my vote) and I'm willing to give this new quarterback a tryout. I guess Mr. King wants the game rigged like the other team's players tried to do! (Donna Brazile and Hillary Clinton.) What is really sad is we're all on the same team! (Or supposed to be.)
