It's About the Lying

RECEIVED Thu., May 5, 2016

Dear Editor,
Regarding Prop 1: It's no longer about public safety. (Well, it never was.) It's no longer about innovative progress vs. old-school lethargy. It's almost no longer about corporate hijacking of the local political process.
Now it's really just about lying. It's about the maddening daily dose of flagrant factual distortions and logical contortions that arrives in my mailbox in the form of gigantic slabs of junk mail.
I wish I could vote no a hundred times. I pray that members of our community who like to use Uber and Lyft will see past the value of this great product and ask themselves if it, and their vote, are worth empowering an entity lying on such a grand scale.
