Dear Editor, I have been a registered Uber rider for a while; I've used the service in different locales and generally enjoyed it. However, after today, I won't be using Uber ever again. You see, I was contacted by someone on behalf of Uber today for the third time in less than a week. I expressed my dismay that I had already asked two previous times that Uber not contact me for political purposes. This time, the woman on the phone called me rude, told me I hadn't asked her three times not to contact me, and then hung up on me. I hope this class action lawsuit yields some favorable results for the claimants; this kind of bullying for the purpose of politics is a violation of the purpose of disclosing personal information for use by Uber, and quite frankly, is just terrible corporate behavior. Whatever comes of the suit and election, I'll find another service to use.
