Article Perpetuates Increased Whining

RECEIVED Tue., Aug. 21, 2012

Dear Editor,
The article endeavoring to create a flap of controversy within and about the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department certainly qualifies as low-grade journalism [“Parks, Wildlife, and Racism,” News, Aug. 10]. What it does is perpetuate the increased level of whining that seems to have gained popularity in our nation as of late. Merit is not always recognized or rewarded within any system, and sulking, pity-pot behavior coming to light after one has managed to acquire sufficient time for retirement may belie that merit did ever actually exist.
