Dear Ms. Gregor and The Austin Chronicle,
The Austin Neighborhoods Council commends the Chronicle and reporter Katherine Gregor for its excellent April 30 [News] article "Showdown at David Street: City Regs Broken at Will."
ANC members (consisting of more than 80 neighborhood associations and representing thousands of residents throughout Austin) have long been concerned about city staff's pro-developer leanings described by Original West University Neighborhood Association's Nuria Zaragoza as appearing to "do whatever is necessary to accommodate an owner-developer."
