Dear Editor, Each time I am caught in traffic on I-35 with numerous 18-wheelers, I wonder what happened with all the promises that there would be fewer trucks going through Austin after the toll roads were built. OK, I drive the toll roads, not often, but when I do, they are practically devoid of traffic, and especially truck traffic. Tell me please why this is. Are the fees so high that the trucking companies can’t justify it or what? I avoid I-35 whenever I can due to the congestion, and I would like some answers.
