Great Story on Roller Derby That Is a Great Story

RECEIVED Sun., Nov. 29, 2009

Dear Editor,
My compliments to the Chronicle and Richard Whittaker for the excellent article on the Roller Derby experience [“Electric Skaterland,” Sports, Nov. 27]. As an avid fan, I was very impressed with the way the Chronicle covered this story.
It is a fascinating story of the revival of Roller Derby as a sport that has become a worldwide phenomenon in just a few short years, and it all started right here in Austin. Not since the book Rollergirl: Totally True Tales From the Track by Melissa “Melicious” Joulwan has this fascinating story been told as well. Congratulations for a job well done.
