Dear Editor, The (weird) technology exists that would improve Austin commuters' time, greatly reduce carbon emissions, and prevent road rage. It’s called cell-phone dampening. Lest the good Samaritans cry they wish to report accidents, wireless priority service is already in place. With a few key strokes on a computer, towers on major routes would keep airheads from trying to talk and drive, thereby speeding up the commute. If someone wants to call emergency services, they would only have to exit and the signal would return off ramp.
