Dallas Air America Invites You to Join Them

RECEIVED Thu., Oct. 18, 2007

Dear Editor,
We in Dallas lost our Air America Radio station one year ago (November 3), and we as a group are still going strong [“Media Watch,” News, Oct. 26]. We actually had a meet-up and a Yahoo group before we had the Border Media station (our group started March '05), and our groups have grown since its demise. You guys have a much larger and more cohesive progressive community in Austin than we do in Dallas, but I think Dallas AAR is an oasis for North Texas progressives. A year ago we started a free weekly newsletter, and it now goes out to more than 1,500 fans of Air America and progressive talk/news. Sign up for the newsletter here: www.dallasairamerica.org. Most of us now subscribe to XM radio, and for as little as $39 for the receiver and $8 a month, you can still listen in the car and at home. We are sorry you guys lost KOKE, and you are all welcome to sign up for our newsletter, and we'll keep you informed on progressive issues and progressive media news!
Thanks,
Nancy Cunningham
