Doesn't Like U.S. Policy Toward Israel

RECEIVED Sat., July 7, 2007

Dear Editor,
After much thought, I have come to the conclusion that terrorism is caused by our foreign policies. One such policy in mind is our Israeli policy.
According to a National Public Radio report, we give them more than $5 billion in financial aid and more than $5 billion in military aid. Why? What do they give us in return?
On the other hand, what does that policy cost us? I believe if we would have treated the Palestinians and the Israelis equally, 9/11 would not have happened. This policy just does not make sense! What if we gave that $10 billion to Mexico and other Central American countries with the condition that they use the money to help poor folks to get an education and to get jobs? We could slow down illegal immigration. What do you think?
