CIA Hand-in-Glove With Mafia

RECEIVED Wed., June 27, 2007

Dear Editor,
The CIA documents released yesterday may not have revealed much that is new, but they provide a good opportunity to watch, once again, how the corporate news media conveniently miss the point. CNN, NPR, and the rest talked on and on about Castro and poison pills.
Hello? The point is that the CIA is hand-in-glove with the Mafia! The CIA used Mafia guys to try and make the hit on Castro. And the CIA says they approached the Mafia with the cover story that they represented a corporation. Since the Mafia didn't blink at that, we can conclude that Mafia/corporate relations were very good at the time. There's nothing to suggest that those symbiotic relationships have changed.
Doesn't that outrage you? Doesn't that make theories of other, more successful assassination conspiracies more plausible? Doesn't that totally destroy the credibility of all the corporate media and the entire federal government? Unless the Mafia is composed of a bunch of nice guys, our government is corrupt, by their own admission, top to bottom.
