Thanks to Velvet Spade Staff

Dear Chronicle,
    I wanted to write you to express my thanks to the staff of the Velvet Spade. Over the weekend I had a medical emergency in which I had to be taken to the hospital via ambulance while I was there to see my friends' band play. The staff was so helpful and caring toward me and my girlfriend. A lot of people out there are just worried about covering their own asses in a situation like this, but the staff stayed calm and really went to bat for us. A special thanks to owner, Chad Womack, who could have said "not in my club" but instead was a gentleman and did everything he could do to make sure we were safe. I hope to return the favor someday. Thank you Velvet Spade. I'm feeling much better now.
