History According to Butt-Head and Beavis

RECEIVED Mon., July 18, 2005

Dear Editor,
I am a disabled American with not many days left, and it saddens me when I look at how we Americans have developed a Beavis and Butt-head mentality. Free press is wonderful if it is not a propaganda tool controlled by a government or individuals for a certain idea. When we were in World War II, everyone tightened their belts as President Truman asked everyone to plant a victory garden. We did not have senators like Kennedy, Kerry, and others who thought they knew more and better than the president. Now, we turn on liberal media and get a news story that reflects the liberal view instead of only reporting truth, which is not what the free press is supposed to be. We listen to commentators who consult with experts from failed administrations to add their two cents, while the best of America is engaged in a war. Americans need to put aside partisan ideas and get behind the president all the way, which would mean they had become Americans again. As for Kennedy, Kerry, and others, their reputation is not exactly clean, but if they could pass security clearance maybe the president could appoint them to a special envoy to meet with the insurgents in Iraq. We all know how Kerry met with the enemy during the Vietnam war.
