Federal Pot Laws Outdated

RECEIVED Fri., Oct. 10, 2003

As a taxpaying American citizen, I should have the undisputed ability to consume any material I choose, without interference from bureaucrats, policy-makers, alternative agendas, or media pressure. The interloping government does not think I am responsible enough to decide for myself what to ingest, so they continue to ban cannabis and punish those who disagree with the current system. Other countries and governments are allowing the use of marijuana for medical treatments, but our country would rather institute zero-tolerance and misinformation programs through the vast network of propaganda outlets. I deserve the right to choose my own medicine, unfettered by persuasive tactics and outdated federal laws.
