    Steven Universe Drag Tribute Show

Cringe historians on the World Wide Web might try to downplay the historic impact of this beachy sci-fi cartoon as merely being discourse bait for the indoor queer set, but the truth is out there. Steven Universe, born from former Adventure Time animator Rebecca Sugar’s brain, played a massive role in bringing actual queer relationships to kids’ entertainment, breaking down barriers by being the first cartoon to depict a lesbian wedding. Pay tribute to this sweet series alongside host Damiana Divine in full Rose Quartz drag as fellow performers bring their own interpretations of the Crystal Gems and other Beach City denizens to the Chups stage. Plus: pop-up tattoos by Sunny of t4t tattoos, specialty SU drinks, and DJ Salem Purchase spinning. – James Scott

    Summer Field Day

Looking back on our field days of yore, we can imagine ourselves, hitching up our knee-high athletic socks and yanking tight our pigtails, thinking, “The egg toss is pleasant enough, but someday I’ll be an adult and this will be a fuckton more fun with an icy cold beer in hand.” And lo, that day has arrived. Zilker Brewing Co.’s first-ever Summer Field Day will include classic games like dizzy bat and cornhole, along with music from Double Heads and food from Spicy Boys. Calling it now: After a few frosty ones, the three-legged race is going to be absolute carnage. – Kimberley Jones

    The Bachelorette Viewing Party

Ahoy, Bachelor Nation! For a new season is upon us: the 21st, in fact, belatedly featuring the series’ first Asian Bachelorette, Jenn Tran. This show is always bonkers, especially at the beginning with the endless parade of suitors battling it out for any morsel of screen time, so you don’t want to watch alone! Starting this Tuesday and continuing weekly, take in all the romance, the laughs, the cringe with hosts Kino Kino and Gender Destruction. This week’s very special guest is Queen of Tuesgays Diamond Dior Davenport, and DJ deadlao5 will offer beats as well as commentary on what’s sure to be an unreal premiere. – Kat McNevins
