Metronomy, Faux Real

Album six from the British indietronica group, September’s Metronomy Forever skates through 17 tracks in under an hour, nu disco like “Salted Caramel Ice Cream” nodding to Prince, while “Walking in the Dark” repeats whispered refrain “holler if you need me” over toying synths. Founder and frontman Joseph Mount boasts a half-dozen production and co-writing credits on Robyn’s Honey. – Greg Stitt
