Austin Asian American Film Festival: In 1979, in the town of Seadrift, Texas, a fistfight between Vietnamese and white fishermen ends with the fatal shooting of a white crabber, setting off a chain of hostility against Vietnamese refugees along the Gulf Coast. Tsai's doc examines the circumstances leading up to the shooting and its aftermath, as well as the consequences still present today.
