REVIEWED By Marjorie Baumgarten, Wed., Nov. 29, 2000
Chicago filmmaker Tom Palazzolo's films, which were made in the Seventies, continue to be shown in anthropology classrooms. "Marquette Park" focuses on the reactions of white residents to a black march in their neighborhood. "Jerry's Deli" examines a Soup Nazi-type character. "Ricky and Rocky" captures a surprise wedding shower, and "Enjoy Yourself It's Later Than You Think" takes place in a retirement home. (Director Tom Palazzolo will be present following the screening for a Q&A. See this week's Screens section for an interview with the director.) The Texas Documentary Tour is co-sponsored by the Austin Film Society, the UT Department of RTF, The Austin Chronicle, KLRU-TV, and SXSW Film.
