    Tree of the Year Awards

TreeFolks and Austin Parks & Rec are resurrecting the awards after nearly a decade, and seek noms for favorite trees in five categories. They must be in the city or ETJ limits, publicly accessible, and not a previous winner, but other than that, all bets are off! So get familiar with your urban forest and take note of the best of the branches. See "Kevin Curtin Hung Out With All of Austin’s 'Tree of the Year' Winners," July 31, 2020, for a fun history lesson.
