    Austin Theatre Alliance Summer Auction

    The nonprofit organization that manages the Paramount and Stateside theatres has launched an online auction to help protect and ensure the eventual reopening of the historic Austin venues.     COVID-19 Vaccine Trial Research Participants Needed

    This month, medical research firm Benchmark Research will launch clinical trials to test vaccines aimed at preventing the spread of COVID-19 in Austin. Participants must be 18 or older, and front-line workers, people likely to be exposed to the virus, and those over 65 or at high risk with chronic health conditions are especially needed.     Austin’s local climbing gym and fitness center is now offering online classes including training for climbing, yoga, HIIT, and circuit training to keep Austinites mentally and physically healthy.     PARD Facility Closures

    Due to the recent spike in COVID-19 cases, as of July 6, all facilities and park amenities will be closed, including previously reopened facilities. All in-person programming for July is suspended. The Barton Creek and Bull Creek greenbelts are closed. Parks and trails are open, but the only amenities open are restrooms and water fountains. Masks and social distancing rules still apply, and PARD Rangers will patrol parks and help educate park users. Get updates and details online.
