Travis County’s mental authority invites you to come learn about the work they do and apply for open positions in child and family services, crisis services, 24/7 helpline, adult services (including drug and alcohol treatment), intellectual and developmental disabilities, medical services (including nursing), learning and development, and human resources. Bring your resume. Austin Police Department will be on-site to discuss mental health work in the community.

Calling all fiber fanatics. Across 10 days, crawlers travel to 16 Central Texas yarn stores – including two in Austin –  gathering knitting, crocheting, and weaving patterns and getting their crawl passports stamped.

Kiddos will create a jack-o-lantern mosaic project, glaze a ceramic pumpkin candle holder, and learn about color mixing and perspective with a midnight pumpkin patch canvas.

Folks who donate at least twice between Sept. 1-Nov. 30 will receive a Sustaining Donor card for an exclusive T-shirt that can be redeemed at the end of November.
