Gorintō: A New Music Sensory Experience

This is an intimate evening-length multisensory piece for five sound artists. The audience gathers in a circle centered in the space and is encouraged to lie down on a collection of pillows and rugs to experience a series of projections on a surface hung from the ceiling while the atmospheric music is played. "It's part soundscape, part classicist composition, part sound bath, and part ASMR dream," says the program's composer Drew Silverman, who's enlisted the talents of Adam Bedell, Jessica Eley, Claude McCan, and Fumihito Sugawara to help him bright this beauty into being. "Wait, there are only 35 listeners allowed in for each performance?" says your editor, "please save us a space!"
