Texas Men Get Third, Women Fourth at NCAA Indoor Track & Field

Longhorns looking good in Olympic year

Unfortunately I don't have time for a lengthy post about it, but I'm pretty fired up because the Texas Longhorn men placed third and the women took fourth at the NCAA indoor track & field championships in Fayetteville, Ark., this weekend. Click on the links to read UT's press releases. Highlights for the men included a 1 and 2 finish in the mile; for the women, freshman Bianca Knight won the 200 meters in an NCAA record time. Both Longhorn squads make their outdoor debuts this Saturday at Myers Stadium on the UT campus for the Texas Invitational. Field events begin at 11am, running events begin at 2pm, and it should wrap up around 5:30pm.
