Next-to-Last Chance to See Your 2006 Lady Longhorns!

The UT Lady Longhorns ran their record to 12-3-1 with a pair of wins last week. Up next: Missouri and Iowa State at home this weekend.

The Lady Longhorns thoroughly dominated Sam Houston State last Friday night, winning 7-0, behind goals from seven different players. Amy Burlingham, Priscilla Fite, Caitlin Kennedy, Jill Gilbeau, Stephanie Logterman, Kasey Moore, and Megan Upah scored as UT outshot the Bearkats 46-3.

On Sunday afternoon in Lincoln, UT fell behind in the 13th minute but came back to beat Nebraska, 2-1, with Caitlin Kennedy and Kelsey Carpenter combining on both goals. Carpenter feeding Kennedy in the first half, Kennedy feeding Carpenter for the winner in the second. The game marked the Horns' seventh road win of the season, a school record. It was also their last road trip of the season; all that's left now are three home conference games. Two of them are this weekend:
7pm Friday, Oct. 20, against Missouri, and
noon Sunday, Oct. 22 against Iowa State.
$7 admission, but see Bevo's Bargains for coupons that'll get you in for $1. The Horns then end the season the next weekend, hosting Texas A&M, who are eighth-ranked in the nation and undefeated and untied in the Big 12. That showdown is at 7pm Friday, Oct. 27.
