Devery Jacobs may be best known as Elora Danan in FX's Reservation Dogs, but she's also made an impact as a staff writer and episode director on the show. That's why ATX TV Festival has just announced that she'll receive this year's Breakthrough Award at the fest's Season 13 (May 30-June 2).

The star of American Gods, Marvel Studios' Echo, indie horror smash Blood Quantum, and upcoming South by Southwest feature selection Backspot, Devery joins prior recipients Angelica Ross (Pose) and Sydney Sweeney (The White Lotus, Euphoria) in this honor, which the festival described as recognizing individuals "whose creative voice has made a substantial and unique impact on the current moment in TV, and whose work exemplifies the emotional, entertaining, and artistic possibilities of the medium."

Additionally, the festival organizers announced that two regulars to Austin's film festivals will be part of this celebration of the small screen: Mike Flanagan and Kate Siegel, the happily married duo and creative collaborators who have helped define modern intelligent horror. Since Flanagan debuted the supernatural Oculus at South by Southwest 2014, and the duo came to town together for innovative home invasion thriller Hush two years later, the genre powerhouse couple have been regulars, right up to a sneak peek at their long-form Fall of the House of Usher at last year's Fantastic Fest. Now they'll be the subjects of “Talk Scary (TV) to Me," their conversation about their ever-growing library of terrifying television, with not just Usher, but Midnight Mass, The Midnight Club, Haunting of Hill House, and Haunting of Bly Manor.

Horror fans will get a double bill of both creatives as each gets the stage to themselves. The spotlight is on Flanagan as a writer in “The Monologue Case Study With Mike Flanagan,” in which he will discuss some of those extraordinary speeches that have come to define his scripts. Meanwhile, Siegel gets to discuss the art of performance in "Fright or Flight: Close Up on Horror Acting with Kate Siegel” in which she explores how women have defined the genre as some of its most memorable characters, and the particular skills demanded by films based in fear.

Also added to the schedule today:

Trial By Content (Live!) Joanna Robinson, Dave Gonzales, and Neil Miller, hosts of The Ringer's no-holds-barred pop culture podcast, will record a special TV-themed episode of the show.

Casting Discoveries: First Gigs and Big Breaks More from Reservation Dogs as show casting director Angelique Midthunder and casting associate Stacey Rice join with The Bear's casting director Jeanie Bacharach and more panelists TBA to discuss the alchemy of putting a great ensemble together.

Plus, Toby Huss will join the previously announced Halt and Catch Fire 10th anniversary reunion alongside creators Christopher C. Rogers and Christopher Cantwell, executive producers Melissa Bernstein and Mark Johnson, and cast members Kerry Bishé and Scoot McNairy.
