Before you vote, remind yourself what you’re voting for

The Cruz/O’Rourke race for the U.S. Senate is being discussed as one of the most important elections in recent Texas political history. But if you’re still unsure on which way to vote (or your relatives keep asking why Beto is called Beto), there’s a simple solution: Watch the one-hour documentary Run Like the Devil, then go vote.

Austin’s Steve Mims made the documentary as a way for audiences and voters to know the men behind the rhetoric: Beto O’Rourke, the insurgent challenger from El Paso, and Ted Cruz, the Republican and former political neophyte who has become a poster boy for the current party. After theatrical screenings in 22 cities, Mims has now put the documentary online for everyone to see. He said, “Our goal is to get this film out to the public before the election to help people understand the two candidates and the ideas they represent. The response to our theatrical screenings has been great and we hope to capture a huge audience online.”

Head over to Vimeo.com right now (and you can also read our interview with Mims here), then head to your polling place. It’s your constitutional right.
